Nancy
Sitter-Osberg, Pet Pastor, joined our staff through the loss of
her own pet Bandit, buried here at Whispering Pines.
Nancy, an active
member in the APLB, an international association related to pet
loss and bereavement, demonstrates the ability to offer leadership
in both chaplain and spiritual setting due to her background in
both critical care and hospice nursing as well as church and spiritually
based organizational affiliations.
Possessing knowledge
in both Roman Catholic and Protestant liturgy rites through training.
She combines her sense of compassion and loss for the pet mourner
to create a memorial service for the pet suited for each individual
situation.
She continues
a monthly follow-up with our clients as needed to ensure that their
emotional needs are being met. Nancy believes in the universality
of all beings, and their place in our lives, as well as the needed
sense for dignity and closure at the time of their passing.
Nancy will make
herself available to all our clients on a complimentary basis, whether
or not they should choose to memorialize their pet in a service.
Should a memorial service setting be desired, arrangements can be
secured through the management.
